Nidec SYS Building New Facilities in Germany
GRAFENAU, Germany – Nidec SYS GmbH and Nidec Press & Automation officials were on hand recently at a ceremonial ground-breaking celebration for a new SYS plant in Grafenau.
The new facility is being constructed at SYS’s current location in Grafenau, and will increase the company’s production capabilities by 60 percent. The 17 million euro investment will create 3,000 square meters of new production space, 1,200 square meters of office space and 500 square meters for storage.
Currently with 130 employees, Nidec SYS offers comprehensive high-quality turnkey manufacturing solutions. Products include high speed servo feeds, spindle presses, related automation, integrated controls with state-of-the-art production management and monitoring software along with specialized high-speed press remanufacturing.
Founded in 1994, SYS joined the Nidec Press & Automation group of companies in 2019, and works closely with other NP&A companies to provide integrated solutions for a variety of metal forming applications. Additional NP&A brands include: Minster Presses (Ohio); Arisa Presses (Spain); Kyori Presses (Japan); Vamco Feeds (Pittsburgh); CHS Coil Lines (Michigan); and Automatic Feed (Ohio).
